Jason George Returning To ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ As Series Regular After ‘Station 19’ Finale

Jason George is ready to scrub in again at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. The actor will return to “Grey’s Anatomy” as a series regular following the finale of its firefighter spinoff “Station 19.”

Jason confirmed the news on Instagram June 12, reposting an initial report from Deadline that sparked hopeful rumors among fans.

“Well…it WAS kind of hush-hush,” he teased in his caption, tagging both shows’ IG handles. “But now it’s official. Where my scrubs at?”

Jason first joined “Grey’s” in Season 6 as surgical resident Ben Warren, who would go on to marry Chandra Wilson’s Miranda Bailey. The character later served as a lead for all seven seasons of “Station 19” and made occasional crossover appearances on “Grey’s,” but viewers began to speculate that Ben’s firefighting days could be over for good when he revealed he wanted to be in the OR again.

As for Jason himself, he previously hinted that there was more than just Ben’s professional life to explore further.

“I like to think that there’s still a Ben-Bailey, or Benley, story to tell,” he told The Hollywood Reporter of his and Chandra’s beloved TV alter egos. “I think that’s a possibility. There may be conversations.”
