‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers) to Remain at a Crossroads

Things are in flux in Salem and ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers are curious how much of what we’re seeing is lazy writing and how much is being left on the cutting room floor.

It’s been an interesting dynamic between Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers) as the writers have tried everything to make Maggie feel like Alex is trying to make a point with her.

Like with the magazine Bella. He wanted to restart that from the beginning before Maggie came into the CEO picture and Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) was all for it. Then Maggie changed his mind.

And now they’re having the magazine fail big time to prove Maggie right and this is where things don’t add up for us.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – The digital age
Alex is a cutting edge, pushing boundaries type of person, so how would he not have a digital marketplace set up to push the magazine with some print copies to help promote it?

It doesn’t make much sense and it feels like the writers are purposely making him look like the weak choice to run Titan, and after having Maggie take the approach that everything Alex does is to spite her, we don’t see this ending well for him.

When we look at how he’s had to defend himself and his choices to Maggie and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), his relationships with his family have become estranged and that’s in large part to his relationship with Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien).

Granted, she’s not his best decision, but he is the type to give others a chance and he’s often too nice for his own good and ignoring the warnings from everyone will cost him when the truth about him not being Victor’s son come to light.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Should’ve made Titan successful
One thing ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers hoped the show would have Titan be successful under Alex so it wouldn’t be too combative when they learn Xander is the real heir.

Alex was brought back by Victor initially for his skill and ruthlessness when it comes to business, and to have him fall flat because of the magazine and claim he did it to spite Maggie when that wasn’t the case feels forced.

Maybe the rest of Titan is doing well since the magazine if the only thing Maggie and Xander are going after him on? It’s definitely a misstep on his part for not relying more on a digital footprint, but that could be Theresa’s fault.

Or maybe the sales will suddenly pick up and he’ll look like he knows what he’s doing instead of being set up as a lame duck executive.

What do you think of the Alex and Maggie dynamic? Is it missing something or is the show spot on? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
