Following much speculation, the Love Island alumni returned to her roots and became the first islander to cross over to the US version of the dating competition.

The Longford woman rose to stardom in the fifth season of the UK version, appearing alongside Molly-Mae Hague and Limerick’s Greg O’Shea, who went onto win the series.

Taking to Instagram in July, Maura announced she was ‘back,’ as she announced her new role with the US version of the reality show.

With the American version of the show wrapping up recently, with Hannah Wright and Marco Donatelli being crowned the winners of the season, Maura returned to London, where she is now based.

Sharing a picture from Heathrow Airport, the reality star shared: ‘Home sweet home.’

She followed up sharing that she was getting her hair done at Frank Hair Colour, a stylist based in London.

It comes following speculation that the 32-year-old could be set to take over as host of Love Island USA next year, replacing current presenter Sarah Hyland.

Following the announcement of Maura’s new role with Love Island USA, Boylesports announced a spike in bets as to what Maura’s next move could be.

Odds on Maura becoming the next host of the show went from 5/4 to 10/11.

Boylesports spokesperson Sarah Kinsella shared that fans of the show were calling for Maura to front the American version.

‘The reaction from her appearance in USA suggests we could be seeing a lot “Maura” of her!’, they quipped.
